About time...

I'm back! It's been a couple of weeks since my last post. School and work has me super busy and I just removed my last set of gel nails. This was a quick paint to last me for the week---I HOPE.

Two coats if Agro by China Glaze, yippee with Gold Star. Have a happy week. Enjoy!

I'm back!

I treated myself to a queen spa treatment. These are Shelac nails in New Nude. This winter has not been so nice to my cuticles and skin so I opt in to get some tender loving care. I received a mint mask treatment on my hands and feet topped with warm stones. Love!

Happy week to you all. :-)

Back to the basics

Happy New Years!

My nails are currently free of any color, at least until mani and pedi time later this week. I used a nail strengthening top coat by Sally Hansen. Enjoy!

Red-y or Not!

This must be my worst color changing attempt. I am recovering from a horrible migraine attack and just could not focus. :-(

After being tired of my most recent polish, I let the Bookie pick out the colors. He chose two colors by Elf- Red-y or Not and Gold Star. I removed the previous polish using my foil technique (see post) and was set to go or so I thought. A waste of polish remover, messy paint, and frustration- here it is. Enjoy! Happy NYE. :-)

Not so nude :-)

I know I said that I would be "nude" until New Years BUT I couldn't contain myself with all the new polishes I have added recently to my collection.

This was one of the most challenging duos! I tried the White Out from Sephora by Opi, accent nail in Liquid Vinyl by Orly, with a top layer of Queen of Beauty by Sinful Colors followed by my FAVORITE anti-chip topcoat by Sally Hansen. (View my list of must-haves)

Whew! I will break each polish down below:

White Out- The brush on the white polish was a little thick for my liking. I have always preferred a thinner brush for easier application BUT it was okay once I got the hang of it. The application was streaky but a second cost help evens things out.

Liquid Vinyl- Great brush and smooth application. It was super light after the first coat, but darkened with the second. It was my favorite for this manicure.

Queen of Beauty- I found this polish for a great price (see previous post) and I am super excited about trying the other colors I have AND many more. The glitter application was very even and I only had to touch up a few nails to ensure I had equal glitter coverage on all nails. This will be a frequent polish for me to add a little sparkle to dull polishes. Hmm, maybe I can find it in gold?!?

Enjoy!

P.S. The pics are pre-cleanup. It's been a lazy kinda day...

All around cream

One of friends was raiding my makeup collection and came across this product. I forgot how awesome it is. It's truly an all-around cream. It can be used for lips, cuticles, elbows, knees, and the face. Personally, I kept it to a minimum of lips with the occasional experiment with dry cuticles. I will experiment with it after my next manicure and see if it should be added to the list of must-haves. You can purchase this and other C.O Bigelow products at your local Bath and Body Works. Enjoy!

Apologizes in advance

I will be the FIRST to admit that I do not have any photography skills. I am currently using the camera on my iPhone 5 for photos. Let me know if they are actually worse than I think. :-)

P.S. Any ideas for NYE nails?
