This was one of the most challenging duos! I tried the White Out from Sephora by Opi, accent nail in Liquid Vinyl by Orly, with a top layer of Queen of Beauty by Sinful Colors followed by my FAVORITE anti-chip topcoat by Sally Hansen. (View my list of must-haves)
Whew! I will break each polish down below:
White Out- The brush on the white polish was a little thick for my liking. I have always preferred a thinner brush for easier application BUT it was okay once I got the hang of it. The application was streaky but a second cost help evens things out.
Liquid Vinyl- Great brush and smooth application. It was super light after the first coat, but darkened with the second. It was my favorite for this manicure.
Queen of Beauty- I found this polish for a great price (see previous post) and I am super excited about trying the other colors I have AND many more. The glitter application was very even and I only had to touch up a few nails to ensure I had equal glitter coverage on all nails. This will be a frequent polish for me to add a little sparkle to dull polishes. Hmm, maybe I can find it in gold?!?
Enjoy!
P.S. The pics are pre-cleanup. It's been a lazy kinda day...
Great polish combination. What do you use to clean your cuticles?
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! I am still experimenting with what techniques I like best. So far I wait until all my nails are completely dry and dip a Q-tip in polish remover and gently remove excess polish. I sometimes also put Vaseline on my cuticles pre-painting to help it from getting on the cuticle. I plan to buy a #2 brush once I remember to stop at my local Sally's to substitute the Q-tip. Do you have any suggestions?
